8th to 13th Dhul-Hijjah

The five days of Hajj

The rites are the same on every package. What changes between them is where you sleep either side, and how long you stay in each city.

  1. Day 1 8 Dhul-Hijjah

    Yawm at-Tarwiyah

    Makkah → Mina

You enter the state of ihram and travel to the tent city at Mina, where the day is spent in prayer and rest. The five daily prayers are shortened but not combined, and the night is spent at Mina before the standing at Arafat.

  2. Day 2 9 Dhul-Hijjah

    Yawm al-Arafah

    Mina → Arafat → Muzdalifah

The day the Hajj rests on. From midday until sunset you stand at Arafat in supplication; a Hajj without this standing is not complete. After sunset you move to Muzdalifah, pray Maghrib and Isha together, gather pebbles and sleep in the open.

  3. Day 3 10 Dhul-Hijjah

    Yawm an-Nahr — Eid al-Adha

    Muzdalifah → Mina → Makkah

You stone the largest pillar at the Jamarat, offer the Qurbani, then shave or shorten the hair and leave ihram. Most pilgrims then travel into Makkah for Tawaf al-Ifadah and Sa’i before returning to Mina for the night.

  4. Day 4 11 Dhul-Hijjah

    Ayyam at-Tashriq

    Mina

The first of the days of Tashriq. All three Jamarat are stoned after midday, in order, and the night is again spent at Mina.

  5. Day 5 12–13 Dhul-Hijjah

    Departure from Mina

    Mina → Makkah

The three pillars are stoned once more. Pilgrims leaving on the 12th must depart Mina before sunset; those staying for the 13th stone a final time the next day. Tawaf al-Wada, the farewell circuit, is performed before leaving Makkah.

Frequently asked questions

When does the 18-Day Shifting 4 Star package travel?

It runs from 7 May 2027 to 23 May 2027 — 18 days, 16 nights, covering the 8th to 13th of Dhul-Hijjah 1448.

What does Shifting mean on this package?

A Shifting package moves you between a Makkah or Aziziya address and back around the five days of Hajj, which keeps the price down. A Non-Shifting package keeps one Makkah hotel throughout. This one moves between Makkah, Aziziya, Mina, Madinah, which is what keeps the price below the non-shifting tiers.

Are flights included?

No. This is a land-only package: international flights are arranged separately, so it is not a flight-inclusive ATOL package. We can quote flights alongside it.

Which Mina tents does this package use?

Maktab Category A, Zone 1 air-conditioned tents. Zone 1 is the allocation closest to the Jamarat.

Who is eligible for this Hajj visa?

The Saudi Hajj visa on all nine packages is issued under the Pakistan Hajj quota, so they are for Pakistani passport holders living in the UK.
