ATOL protection

We hold ATOL 74904, issued by the Civil Aviation Authority, and are IATA accredited under 91245302.

ATOL exists for one reason: so that if a travel company fails, the people who paid it do not lose their money or get stranded abroad. Every flight-inclusive package you buy from us is covered by that scheme. You pay us, the money is bonded, and if anything happened to us between your booking and your return, the CAA would either refund you or bring you home.

What is covered — and what is not

We would rather be precise about this than let you assume more protection than you have.

Covered

• Every flight-inclusive package booked with us — the twelve Umrah packages, the seasonal deals, and the two Non-Shifting Hajj packages that include flights

Not covered by ATOL

• Land-only arrangements. The seven Shifting Hajj packages are land only: flights are arranged separately, so they are not flight-inclusive packages and ATOL does not apply to them. We say so on each of those pages too.
• Travel insurance, which is a separate thing and covers separate risks. ATOL protects against our failure; insurance protects against yours — illness, cancellation, lost baggage. You need both, and we strongly recommend arranging insurance as soon as you book.

We take no card details on this website

There is no payment form anywhere on this site. Every form here is an enquiry: it asks for your name, your contact details and what you are looking for, and nothing else. You cannot enter a card number on ahadtravel.co.uk, because there is nowhere to put one.

That is deliberate. It means this website cannot leak your card details, because it never has them. Payment is arranged with an advisor once your itinerary is confirmed.

If you ever find a page on this domain asking for card details, it is not ours. Stop, and call us on 020 3983 5065.

How to pay

Once your itinerary is agreed, an advisor confirms the amount and how to pay it. Interest-free instalment plans are available on most packages, which lets you secure a departure date and hotel now and spread the balance. Ask your advisor what the schedule looks like for your booking.

To be confirmed before publication: which payment methods are accepted (bank transfer, debit card, credit card), and through which provider card payments are processed. A payment security page that does not say how you actually take money is not doing its job — and if card payments go through a PCI-compliant provider, that is worth stating by name.

Also to confirm: the deposit amount and when the balance falls due. The booking terms set these out; this page should agree with that page exactly rather than restate them from memory.

Your ATOL certificate

When you book a flight-inclusive package and pay, you should receive an ATOL Certificate. Check it. It tells you what is financially protected, where you can get information on what that means for you, and who to contact if things go wrong.

If you do not receive one, ask us for it. If what you receive does not match what you booked, tell us straight away.

Avoiding travel payment fraud

Hajj and Umrah pilgrims are targeted by fraudsters every season, and the amounts involved make it worth their while. A few things that hold true whoever you book with:

• Check the ATOL number yourself. Ours is 74904. You can verify any ATOL holder on the CAA website — do not take a logo on a website as proof.
• Be wary of pressure. A genuine operator will let you read the terms before you pay.
• Be wary of a price far below everyone else. Hotel allocation near the Haram costs what it costs, particularly in Ramadan and at Hajj.
• Never pay into a personal bank account, and be suspicious of any request to pay by transfer to a name that is not the company's.
